Stamping Ground managed all national media, PR and pictorial opportunities for Amazon Prime Video in the lead-up to and throughout the trials. Our publicity drive ramped up throughout six days of competition with two daily media releases highlighting the heats and finals.
The commentary team of Grant Hackett, Giaan Rooney, Nicole Livingstone, Annabelle Williams, Matt White and Jon Harker did more than 75 national and local TV, print, radio and online interviews.
The five-week campaign generated 2,088 pieces of coverage nationwide. Media outlets which highlighted APV’s broadcast of the trials included Today on Channel 9, Sunrise on Channel 7, ABC Breakfast News, Sky News, The Australian, The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph and Herald Sun.
We arranged 55 radio interviews with the swimming commentators on 2GB, 5AA, 6PR, 3AW, MMM Drive National, MMM breakfast, MMM Rush Hour (multiple markets), Nova (multiple markets), Hit (multiple markets), SEN (multiple markets), 4KQ, 97.3 and RSN.
Other publicity highlights included a double-page feature in News Corp’s Sunday Herald Sun and Herald Sun, interviews on Weekend Today and 9News Gold Coast, and coverage across news.com.au, TV Week, The Courier-Mail, The Advertiser, Gold Coast Bulletin, Wide World of Sports online, The West Australian, Mediaweek, AAP, and the television heavyweight sites TV Tonight and TV Blackbox.
