Stamping Ground partnered with Kidney Health Australia for the 2021 Red Socks Appeal.
Stamping Ground was engaged to enlist a high-profile national ambassador, develop a national media plan and manage all PR and pictorial opportunities for the national ambassador, to create awareness, engagement, and encourage registrations for the Red Socks Appeal and also, highlight the key warning signs for Kidney Health disease.
This involved researching well-known Australians who might have a link to kidney health and compiling a list of names for consideration – personalities with strong media appeal who support not-for-profit causes.
Actress Michala Banas duly became the national ambassador for the 2021 Red Socks Appeal. This resulted in widespread media coverage across TV, print, radio and online, with Michala talking about her own personal health journey and encouraging Australians to get involved in the 2021 Red Socks Appeal.
As part of our service, we also developed scripts for digital channels, created a photography shot list, engaged a hair and makeup professional, and provided styling advice.
Coverage included Channel 9’s Today Extra, Channel 10’s Studio 10, News Corp’s Stellar magazine (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and regional markets), 9Honey, Woman’s Day and radio interviews on 2GB Afternoons, 4BC Afternoons x 2, Nova Melbourne Breakfast, Nova Weekends Adelaide, ABC National, ABC Melbourne Afternoons, 4KQ Breakfast Brisbane, House of Wellness on 2GB, 4BC, 3AW, 5AA and 6PR.
